Prof. Massimiliano Agostini obtained his PhD from the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Perugia, Italy, followed by a Fellowship, Section of Pharmacology, at the same institute where he became a Research Assistant in 2005. In 2007, he started a Career Development Fellow at the MRC Toxicology Unit, Leicester, UK, under Professor Gerry Melino, where he became a senior investigator scientist. He is now assistant professor in the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He is also referee for several journals, among which: Cell Death & Disease, Cell Death & Differentiation, Molecular Neurobiology and Oncogene. He is also on the Editorial Board of Frontiers in Oncology. He has given talks at several international conferences including the p63/p73 Workshop in Lyon, France in 2011. His research interest currently is the role of p73 in neurodevelopment and neurotoxicity using mouse models.
